Therefore i say know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril, however, to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the highest skill. to subdue the enemy without fighting is the highest skill.

UKASKO offer courses on a regular basis for those instructors who are interested in developing not only their teaching skills, but gaining technical knowledge that can be passed on to their students. And all for a modest fee, compared to the so called superstars that you see advertised on a regular basis in the Martial Arts magazines.
With reference to the enclosed calendar ( via link above), these are events that we deem to be worthy of support and are not meant to be compulsory. We distribute it to clubs solely for information purposes. If you wish to be involved in any of the activities listed, there are telephone numbers for you to contact direct.
Members have the opportunity to practice and learn a variety of Martial Arts under the direct supervision of the Senior Grades of the Organisation, by way of Instructors Courses on a one day basis and residential courses over the course of a weekend. Many of the Organisation's top Instructors will also be available for courses at individual clubs.
We also have an extensive events calendar which is prepared twelve months in advance giving you ample time to prepare for events and courses. However, as with all plans of this type, occasionally dates and locations change as it is not possible to keep to the original dates. Any changes will be notified well in advance. Further, it is not always possible to highlight everything that goes on. In particular, some regional events are organised after the calendar has been set. In this situation, our members are kept up to date by virtue of our newsletters.
We are very much aware that the majority of instructors like to be left alone to get on with doing their own thing with no interference from us. Unlike some associations, the Organisation is not that money orientated that it makes it compulsory for instructors to buy equipment from us, or insist on its members running up and down the country attending tournaments and courses etc. Our job is to simply offer the facility and provide information on the subject. The decision on whether to attend or not is left to the individual concerned
